Volunteers in Parks Projects
We work closely with the National Park Service (NPS) to design Volunteers-in-Parks projects using mountaineers and rock climbers. There is a growing need for these types of projects to help NPS scientists and researchers protect the priceless natural and cultural resources of our national parks.
These projects are especially important as important responses to the impacts of climate change. For example, here is some information on our multi-year Lichen Inventory Project with the NPS in Yosemite National Park. By helping the NPS assess the existence and health of species in our parks, we enable them to effectively monitor, understand, and respond to impacts from climate change over time.
If you enjoy being outdoors in spectacular settings working with friends on important projects that help our national parks, please contact us.
